About:

Allie Wilson is the owner and founder of Capacity Physical Therapy and Wellness. Allie was born and raised in Bakersfield, California where movement was a huge part of her upbringing. She played basketball and golf throughout high school and continues to do so recreationally. She received her undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in athletic training and worked for several of the Longhorn teams, including football and Men’s basketball. She graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2022. Following PT school, Allie moved to St. Louis to complete her orthopedic residency through the SLU-SSM Health Physical Therapy program and is now considered a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. This provided Allie with advanced training in movement analysis, manual therapy skills, research, and evidence-informed treatment of orthopedic injuries. Additionally, Allie is Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 Certified, with a passion for helping golfers perform at their best and pain-free. Allie currently lives in St. Louis and is dedicated to providing high-quality care to active individuals utilizing her expertise and hands-on skills she has gained throughout her diverse training. In her free time, Allie enjoys golfing, rock climbing, backpacking/hiking, and practicing meditation.

My Philosophy:

As a movement specialist, I am dedicated to helping you better understand your body and the incredible feats it’s capable of. Let’s face it, we are surrounded by a healthcare system that is reactive rather than proactive. I’m here to change that. I founded Capacity Physical Therapy and Wellness to provide a space for people to better understand their bodies and the aches and pains we experience as humans. I firmly believe the body, mind, and spirit are inextricably connected, and we will not truly achieve “wellness” if we don’t embrace this truth. Through intentional, evidence-informed treatment programs, I strive to impact the body. mind, and spirit of each person. My hope, is that Capacity will not just be a digital/physical space, but a way of life to promote longevity and life long wellness. Looking forward to learning and growing with all of you!
